THINGS TO PONDER

The following important things should be kept in mind before getting admission in any field;

• Always give preference to the Public Sector (Govt.) Universities over the Private Sector Universities. Even though you are able to bear all the expenses of the Private Sector Universities, still Private Sector can never be the substitute of Public Sector!
• One must try to get admission in universitie's main campus and avoid getting enrolled in any sub-campus. Although, the sub-campuses of University of Engineering and Technology (UET), University of the Punjab (PU) and University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) stand up to Higher Education Commission (HEC)'s given standards and are totally safe to get admission in. 
• Merging degree programs must be avoided. In these programs two or more fields of study are combined  into a single one. They are quite popular in western countries especially in Europe, but do not have any current scope in Pakistan.
• Students who have studied medical subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) in Highschool/HSSC/F.Sc. should opt for technical fields.
• You should prefer your own country and province.
• Try to choose a field associated with office employment rather than on-field jobs.
